Why the Sign of the Son of Man is the Rapture – not the Second Coming

By Robert Hunt
.
No doubt, the rapture has become a very controversial subject among Christians, and some don’t even believe it will happen.  The apostle Paul called it a profound mystery.  Christ’s disciples asked Him for the sign of His coming and the end of the age (Matt. 24:3).  Yet many scholars today don’t believe that Matthew 24 has anything to do with the rapture, but only the second coming instead.  Many other scholars believe it relates to both, the rapture and the second coming.  But what if both of those beliefs are incorrect?  Suppose the sign of the Son of man and the gathering of His elect in Matthew 24 is only the rapture, and not His physical second coming to the earth.  That would change everything, right?  But wait, there’s more, a lot more!

Parable of the Sower: 3 types of Believer and their Rewards

By: Robert Hunt – 6/17/2017
.
The parable of the Sower is much different than most other parables.  And like many other scriptures, sometimes we can get a much deeper meaning when the Holy Spirit reveals some of the deeper hidden truths.  In the parable of the sower below, the Lord shows the condition of the heart of all those who hear the gospel, by relating four different types of ground in which the seeds were planted.  These show four different types of people and how each one receives His message; but what’s really interesting about this particular parable is that when you look deeper into it, you can also see the end results.  Christ gave His disciple’s the interpretation of how each type of ground receives the seeds when they are first planted, but we can also go deeper by viewing the harvest that each type of ground produces. Matthew 24 Revisited: New Revelations Revealed

By: Robert Hunt – June 7, 2017
.
Note: Matthew 24 text will be in (red), all other scriptures in (purple).
.
After nearly 2000 years, Christ’s Olivet Discourse still remains a hotly debated subject among biblical scholars, not only because of the controversial rapture and/or second coming issue, but also because many scholars surprisingly contend that it has already been fulfilled. My interpretation differs widely from most Eschatology scholar’s, mainly because the vast majority of them have reached their conclusions without studying the entire text.  To be clear, most scholars do not include Matthew 25, probably because they are either intimidated by Christ’s parables, cannot reconcile them with their beliefs about Matthew 24 or maybe they don’t believe the parables are related.  It seems obvious to me, though, that if a theory must ignore or is incompatible with these parables, then it is likely an incorrect interpretation.  Christ provided these parables so that the wise could better understand this profound mystery, but at the same time, they would also be a stumbling block for the wicked or foolish.

Will All Christian’s Be Ready?

By: Robert Hunt – May 15, 2015
.
Not long ago, I was discussing my view of the rapture with another fellow believer.  I shared with him that I did not believe that all Christians would be ready when the Son of man appears.  He politely said that he thought I was going against scripture.  Then he cited 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 as his proof text.  His understanding of that passage leads him to believe that Paul was saying that all living born again Christians (we which are alive and remain) will be raptured, but is that really what the apostle Paul meant?  I believe he is taking that passage out of context.  So let’s take a closer look at the entire text.

Revelation 3:10 – The Hour of Temptation (What & When?)

By: Robert Hunt – Jan. 21, 2016
.
Revelation 3:10-11
(KJV) – Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”
.
Ah yes, the topic most scholar’s tend to neglect or avoid when writing about their rapture theories.  Many pre-tribulation scholars use Rev. 3:10 and a couple other scriptures to prove that the Church won’t be here for any part of the final seven years of this age.

Revelation 20:1-15: Understanding the Two Resurrections

By: Robert Hunt – Feb. 12, 2015
.
I never knew there was so much confusion about the timing of the two resurrections until I had seen several people on Christian forums struggling to understand them.  Many believe the righteous dead will be resurrected along with the wicked unbelievers.  Many others believe the righteous dead will be resurrected when Christ returns, and that the wicked unbelievers won’t be resurrected until after Christ’ millennial reign (1000 years).  So I was thinking it might be helpful if I broke these down, in order to shed more light on this topic.  Hopefully some will be able to grasp a better understanding.  Let’s begin with scripture.

Understanding the End-time Harvest

By R. Hunt – Sept. 27, 2015
.
Most biblical scholars believe in the rapture and teach that someday Christ will come back suddenly to rescue His Church, before God unleashes His wrath upon the wicked unbelievers in this dark world.  This has been a common understanding for quite some time.  However, due to my recent discovery of the different rewards believers’ will receive when Christ returns, that understanding is now lacking knowledge of the different elements or parts that would unfold during a biblical harvest.  That basic understanding also assumes that the entire Church will be ready when the last trumpet sounds, which actually nullifies the need for believers’ to be watchful and ready for His unexpected coming, as Christ, Himself, repeatedly warned His followers to be.
